Development is progressing the usual rate I suppose. Since the last release, I've been putting the game loading & saving functionality together, alongside that, programming event controllers e.g. cutscene handling and things like doors opened should stay open (save state). Still some kinks here and there.
Only things on my mind right now would be to continue to fix the kinks, create more in-game cutscenes, creating some few new enemies, and improve the sloppy looking start screen UI. If all goes well, next release would likely showcase simple cutscenes, loading and saving.
Tis' all fer now.
Huzzah! :)

DeleteAn update? Great to hear!
ReplyDeleteGood to know!
DeleteGood news again. I found a bug, projectiles through the small stairs and hit the wall behind.
ReplyDeleteYea... about that. For the life of my I can't figure out why the player projectiles doesn't break when it hits the slopes. Anyways GM:S just patched again and a bunch of changes rendered Labcoax un-operable again so I'm gonna tend to that first.
DeleteJust to let you know, a recent update to Avast anti-virus has mdae this impossible to play. When I try to open it, Avast blocks it as a "suspicious program" and while it gives me the option to add it to a whitelist, the button doesn't appear to work, and it deletes the file automatically on me.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if there's anything YOU can do about that, but just in case.
If you've downloaded v0.4 from the links in this blog, I assure you it is safe. If you ever managed to launch v0.4, remember the interact button is 'Z' in place of Enter. Yeah I should really show the controls in the next release. Tell me how it goes for you!
